Variation 1:"Science is about finding the truth and plugging the gaps in our knowledge and understanding. Whereas religion teaches us to be satisfied with our lack of understanding. Religion pacifies people as it gives them a comforting easy explanation to complicated things. Science never gives up on finding the answers to everything but religion just says magic did it. Where science is full doubt, skepticism, willingness to learn, openness to correction … faith is exactly the opposite. Religion undermines the intellect and rationality and therefore undermines society. "

Variation 2: "Science offers us the privilege of understanding the universe in ways that no myth ever did. Religion has nothing better to offer than ancient fables. The God Hypothesis is a failed scientific explanation — science explains things infinitely better.”

Variation 3: “Science is only truly consistent with an atheistic worldview. With every passing year, the universe looks less and less like the universe described in any holy book and more and more like the universe described by science.”

Variation 4: "“Science and religion are incompatible because they have different methods for getting knowledge about reality. Science relies on evidence, testing, and reason. Religion relies on faith, dogma, and revelation. And faith is simply not a reliable way of knowing anything.”

Variation 5: "“The success of science often comes at the expense of religious dogma; the success of religion never comes at the expense of science. While science has a proven track record of explaining everything from disease to the origin of species, religion has not explained a single thing about our universe.”
