Atheist Argument

Version 1
(Version 1 of the "Billions of people never learned about the one true God" argument)

If God is real, perfectly loving, and wants a relationship with every human being, then it should not matter where or when you were born — His truth should be equally available to all. Yet for most of human history, billions lived and died having never even heard of the so-called “one true God.” Entire civilizations — in the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia — rose and fell with no knowledge of Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. Even today, countless people live and die outside these faiths.

The implication is devastating: salvation, eternal destiny, and ultimate truth are supposedly at stake, yet access to that truth depends mostly on geography and history. A child born in ancient China, or among the Mayans, or in a remote tribe today, never had a chance. If God truly loved humanity, He could have revealed Himself universally and unmistakably from the beginning. But He did not.

This reality makes far more sense if religions are human inventions, spreading unevenly like languages and myths, than if they are divine revelations. A God who hides from billions across history is indistinguishable from a God who isn’t there at all.
