Animal Suffering

If you were walking in the woods and came across a young deer that had one of its legs trapped. The deer is frightened and slowing diving from hunger. Would allow it to suffer or would do something. Why doesn't God do something. How is for the greater good for that deer to suffer alone like that. Multiply that situation by billions and you erase the possibility of a God.
